Columbia Asia Radiology Group has conducted a CME on 26th December 2019 at Columbia Asia Hospitals, Yeshwanthpur as a part of its monthly academic initiative. It was attended by the radiologists and Post Graduate students of CAH.
Cardiac Imaging was one of the ‘rocket science’ areas of Radiology, until recently. However, with recent advances in knowledge in this field compiled with better, newer generation MRI and CT scanners, it is now playing a greater role in diagnosis and management of Cardiac patients.
Columbia Asia Radiology Group had conducted a CME on “MR-based texture analysis in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)” at Columbia Asia Hospitals, Yeshwanthpur. It was attended by the radiologists of CARG and DNB PG students.
CARG had conducted a Journal meet on the 15 TH March 2019 which was chaired by Dr. Rajesh Helavar and attended by the PGs, cross-section fellows, and consultants across Columbia Asia sites. The session comprised of a presentation by Dr. Vinayak Jayaram on “Spectral CT Imaging in the Differential Diagnosis of Small Bowel Adenocarcinoma From Primary Small Intestinal Lymphoma”
Columbia Asia Radiology group had organized a Seminar on “Clinical Requirement in Vascular Imaging” on the 10th of March at Columbia Asia Hospital – Yeshwanthpur. It was headed by Clinical lead Dr. Krishna Chaitanya and Radiology lead Dr. Madhukumar.
Fellowship of Royal College of Radiology (FRCR) conducted by RCR, UK is an assessment of UK trainees and an important marker of quality for overseas doctors. The FRCR is a prestigious qualification for radiologists trained world over. Columbia Asia Radiology Group offers a mock exam course which prepares aspirants for the final FRCR part 2B examination.
The CME focused on the importance of the assessment of tumour burden as a feature of the clinical evaluation of cancer therapeutics. Both tumour shrinkage and disease progression are useful endpoints in clinical trials.Since RECIST was published in 2000, many investigators, cooperative groups, industry, and government authorities have adopted these criteria in the assessment of treatment outcomes. However, a number of questions and issues have arisen which have led to the development of a revised RECIST guideline.
Columbia Asia Radiology Group celebrated the “International Day Of Radiology- 2018” on 8th November 2018, at Columbia Asia Hospitals, Bangalore. Clinicians of Columbia Asia Hospital-Yeshwanthpur and Radiology teams across all the 11 Columbia Asia Hospitals have participated in the event.
Columbia Asia Radiology Group has organized a CME on “Gynaecological emergencies” at Columbia Asia Hospitals- Yeshwantpur on 30th October 2018. The event comprised of a presentation by Dr. Vinayak Jayaram, post that there was a discussion session among the participants which has turned out to be very enlightening.
Columbia Asia Radiology Group had organized a workshop on CT Coronary Imaging, attended by 60 participants including radiographers from Columbia Asia hospitals Bangalore, Bethel college, Baptists hospital, CSI Hospital, etc. The training focused on enriching the technologist’s knowledge in preparing patients for the CT Coronary Angiogram procedures along with pre, during and post care of them.
